I have been advised by a doctor to eat a 2000mg sodium diet. I bought this app bc it appeared it would track sodium. I cannot accomplish this. How can I enter my sodium goal for the day and have it tracked accurately? The food's sodium content will show when I pull up the food, but on the totals for the day it has the wrong number.

Sodium - all apps and memberships allow sodium tracking. MyNetDiary uses the DRI/AI value of 1500 mg for adults up to 50 yo, and then 1300 mg for 51 or older. You can choose to customize your sodium goal upwards to 2000 mg if you have the PRO app or the Max membership level.
Also, to show the mg of sodium vs. the %RDA value, go into Settings in your app Account tab on web) and choose to view "mg" - the default is %RDA.
And you just reminded me that I need to request a change to the default values since I think that they are way too low. 2000 mg sodium is a commonly prescribed "low sodium diet" and yet the DRIs are lower than that.

I would like to track sodium with a "tracker" so I can chart it. But it appears that it doesn't use the actual daily sodium data. So I have to key in the sodium # each day.

Hi U1189080999- The MyNetDiary app makes it easy to track sodium! You can track this nutrient with the free or paid Premium membership.
Premium membership allows you to show sodium intake on your dashboard making it easier to see where you're at related to your target. Hope this helps make things easier for you. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
