Hi! I'm brand new to the idea of tracking calories and weight loss throughout anything but exercise. I was a previous athlete that began a horrendous track of junk food intake and struggled with bouts of depression. I have been consistent on getting back into exercising, but I need to make a bigger jump if I plan on getting healthy. I am currently 230 pounds, 5'2", and a sweet addict. I take my calories in both through liquids and food.
I was wondering if there were any sides anyone would recommend cooking for meals of two. I switched from canned to frozen veggies. I still kind of find myself eating instant potatoes or rice with whatever I'm having. I'm also just learning to cook for my own. I enjoy salads but my partner doesn't as much. Any ideas on simple but cheaper sides for meals? :(

I feel your pain. I don't cook often. Too much food gets wasted. This app has a library full of recipes. Cut them in half if you need to, or freeze single servings for a quick meal in the future. My husband is meat and potatoes mostly. He cooks for himself. Hang in there.
