Hello I am not sure if I am doing this right but I have been staying at a steady 1500 calorie intake and lost some weight and definitely saw results. But I started going to the gym in January and now I have stopped losing weight (according to the scale) for the past month. Have I hit a plateau? If I have what do I do now?

Keep in mind that muscle is heavier than fat. Your body shape is a big factor too, but if you are working out a lot & getting stronger without gaining weight... that's a fantastic sign. It means you're getting leaner, losing fat while gaining muscle. Keep in mind as well that a certain level of fat is healthy. Losing weight while working out below your Basal Metabolic Rate can lose some of that lean body mass you worked for(if you check your plan, it'll have a little warning if your food budget is below a certain rate... mine is about 1,600 for example, so your diet would cost me a lil strength, but it goes back to body type)

I think a pound is a pound. No matter what it is, 16 ounces is a pound. But, a pound of fat takes up more room than a pound of lean muscle.
