I have many food allergies. Gluten and dairy are the most prevalent among approximately 15 food sensitivities. How can I eat enough protein a day? Eggs and dairy products are not an option. Any ideas?

if you can’t have whey protein, try the vegan protein powder and make sure you can have it and whatever the ingredients are, drink it with water

Hi there Ellamae-
I believe your post indicated you could not tolerate gluten, dairy, or eggs. Correct?
Here are some of my favorite protein-rich foods, with that in mind-
1. Beans. Use them in salads, as a spread (hummus) or in a casserole
2. Nuts and nut butters.
3. Fish. Consider smoked salmon on top of a salad or tuna patties, using a flax egg in place of a chicken egg: https://www.mynetdiary.com/shareRecipe.do?id=26897253
4. Pumpkin seeds and chia seeds are a great way to add some protein to your salads or smoothies.
5. Smoothies using vegan protein powder such as this berry vegan smoothie recipe: https://www.mynetdiary.com/shareRecipe.do?id=22003705
6. Meat is a very rich source of protein. Most meats provide 7g of protein/1 ounce portion.
Hope this helps~ Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
