Thanks for the post on the lap band technique and related scams. I have a family member who has had the technique done with only limited success. My sister who would have qualified on the BMI criteria, instead joined Weight Watchers and has lost 66 lbs. in less than one year.

I think Weight Watchers is a great program and I'm glad to hear your sister has lost so much weight on it. It is very important to continue group maintenance classes for the weight to stay off - you might want to share that with her. And I'm glad you like the articles!
And just FYI for all the readers out there - lap bands are only one type of surgery for weight loss - there are other more effective forms of bariatric surgery (like gastric bypass) for individuals who meet certain criteria.

The link to the article you posted on Twitter about eating after a workout didn't work. Could you post it here as well?
Thanks!

Eating after a work-out, here's the link: http://www.suntimes.com/lifestyles/health/2051316,FIT-News-Muscle17.article
I had trouble with that link when I first posted it using their share utility. Sorry, thought I had fixed it since the link works now from my end on Twitter. Let me know if this link doesn't work for you.
Best,
Kathy

It works! Thank you! I've been working out during my lunch hour at work... I've been looking for a good article on what to eat to maximize the work I've done after my workout, this is great, thanks!
