Yay! I am super excited for you. I too share the same story with you. I started on December 28th... WOW what a difference. I think the majority of it came from learning what an "actual" serving of food was. I spent a lot of years "guesstimating" what a serving was. My next step is to buy an actual food scale. right now, I think I spend too much time "guessing" how many ounces are in meats. I too am waiting on my 20# (right now I'm down 19.2lbs). Then to my next goal of 15lbs. Then I look forward to maintenance. I love this ap and am so grateful for giving it a try.

I just started. I had a baby in Sept and I am 40. I gained 55 lbs while I was pregnant and now weigh 260 after gaining the weight I had lost after csection I am trying not to be hard on myself but th scale is continuing using to go up. I used to smoke as well and quit when I foun d out I was pregnant. This is really hard and I need the help.

Hi Stephaniebabystuart- Welcome to MyNetDiary. Congrats on your new bundle of joy!
I am sure you will get lots of great tips on forum. Here are some to get you started-
1. Track your food and drink intake. This is easier said than done when you have a 4 month old! If you miss a day, just get back on track the next one.
2. Strive to eat balanced meals and get on a schedule if you can. Here are some ideas of how to build a healthy meal. https://www.mynetdiary.com/simple-n-healthful-meal-planner-plate-method.html
3. Need some other tips to stop the gain:
https://www.mynetdiary.com/have-you-been-dieting-and-exercising-but-not-losing-weight-try-these-proven-plateau-solutions.html
4. Take it slow! We suggest a really slow weight loss if you are breast-feeding. If not, strive to lose no more than 1 pound a week. This way you are eating enough calories to keep your energy up to take care of your baby.
5. Bundle up baby and go for walks. Be active when you can to help burn calories.
You've got this! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
